*This is one of eight films that I saw during a summer traveling around Europe. I did not write full reviews for these movies, but I have shared mini-reviews that were originally posted on social media to Sitting In The Cinema*
It Comes At Night is tense, well-acted, and thoughtful horror- but it's so concerned with subverting the genre that it fails to build a memorable identity of its own. The movie isn't scary, but it'll assuredly send shivers up the part of your brain that's dealt with loss.
★★★½
