My name is Ryan Bordow and I am the one who sits in the cinema.
Admittedly, the above picture is not of me. That is an origami representation of me that a friend of mine in Slovakia made.
This is me:
Here are the things I'd like you to know about me for now:
I am a cinephile, which should be evident if you've made it this far.
I have been changed by The Gospel; I try to love and value human beings to the extent of my emotional ability. If you like labels, then you could say that I am a Christian Humanist.
I love Slovakia.
I am an aspiring filmmaker and am currently writing multiple screenplays.
I am the one writing the majority of the words you'll read on this website.
If you'd like to know anything else about me, please comment with questions. I'd love to answer you!
The "Personal Projections" section of Sitting In The Cinema will serve as an outlet for film-related thoughts that mostly have to do with me- rankings of what I believe to be the year's best movies, discussions on my favorite movies of all time, and new thoughts I have after revisiting movies of the past, for example.
That's all I have to personally project for now though. At the time of writing this, I've written four film reviews and one filmosophy article. Please read through them if you haven't already!
